Functions of the Treasurer’s Office

The office of the Seward County Treasurer collects and disburses real and personal property taxes and issues motor vehicle titles and registrations, driver licenses and learner permits, boat registrations and mobile park permits. Informational materials available at the Treasurer’s Office include:

  • Provisional operator permits
  • Specialty license plate applications

Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles

The Driver’s License Examiners are located at the Seward County Courthouse (first floor) every Wednesday from 8:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Contact the Driver’s Licensing Office at (402) 643-2980 for the following:

  • Driver License
  • Driver Permits
  • ID Cards
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

You Can Now Look-Up and Pay Your Seward County Real Estate and Motor Vehicle Taxes Online!

Seward County tax information from 1999 forward is available for viewing and making payments online. Please call the Seward County Treasurer for tax sale and bankruptcy information. Seward County has an agreement with Certified Payments, Inc., an online payment company, to accept your real estate payments on-line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by using your credit card. By submitting your payment through Certified Payments, you are agreeing to their terms and conditions. Please read all terms and conditions carefully:

Tax Department Hours:
M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Driver’s License Office Hours:
Wednesdays 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (1st Floor)
