The mission of the Seward County Emergency Management is to provide a comprehensive and integrated emergency management system that coordinates community resources to protect lives, property and the environment through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from all natural and man-made hazards that may impact our county.

Emergency Alerts

Seward County is committed to alerting you when emergencies occur, and to providing real time information to help keep you informed so you can stay safe. 

​Make sure to register for Seward Alerts and receive information on emergencies like flash floods, police emergencies, evacuations and other public safety matters. Get emergency & related information direct to your home phone, work phone, smartphone or tablet.

By signing up and providing key contact information we will be able to push emergency alerts and information out to you when it counts. We understand your personal information is private and will keep it strictly confidential. It is important that you keep your contact information updated so we can reach you. Please note that signing up for emergency alerts is free, but standard text messaging fees from your cell carrier may apply. 

Through the Everbridge Resident Connection some landline and cell phone numbers have been uploaded into the system. If you receive a call, you may opt out by following the directions in the call. If you receive a text and would like to opt out, simply respond STOP to the text.
