Functions of Buildings and Grounds

The Buildings & Grounds Department is responsible for maintenance and repair for County owned buildings and surrounding grounds.  This includes physical properties, machinery, equipment and maintenance needs inside and outside facilities. This department is responsible for maintaining environmental health and safety compliance in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Courthouse Lawn Use Rules, Application, and Process​

If you are interested in using the Courthouse lawn, please:

• Read and understand the rules of use:
  • Rules for Use of Seward County Courthouse Grounds
• Complete and return the application AND request form to be on Board of Commissioners meeting agenda to the County Clerk’s Office:
  • Seward County Application for Use of Grounds​
  • Board of Commissioners Agenda Request Form
• If approved by the Board of Commissioners, a copy of the application would be sent to Building and Grounds, Sheriff’s Office, and E-911 Communications. A county representative will be in contact with you.
